Between a Rock and a Hard Place...
I brought home some wild tadpoles several months ago to put into my frog growout tank. Along with them came a few strands of clingy moss, similar in appearance to Java Moss. It grew into a large low hanging bush. Now that my frogs are gone i was wondering if i could put it in my 50g fish tank...but i dont know. is there risk to my fish? suggestions? thanks for the help guys.

The moss is probably safe to use with a good rinsing prior to putting it in the aquarium. If you are really worried, you can soak the moss in a bleach solution (1 part bleach to 19 parts water) for a minute or two. This will kill any organisms that may be attached to the moss.

The moss has had over 6 months time in quarantine, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Amphibians are often of concern if caught wild, due to their skins absorbing toxins. If your fish eats too many contaminated tadpoles/frogs bioaccumilation could kill your fish.

Moss is fine although you could bring unwanted snails or algae species in. We run this risk anytime we introduce new plants/animals.

thanks for the help! i put it in. we shall see! no more tadpoles or anything living in it though. just moss.

I agree with the only risks being added snails/algae species. The only other concern that I can think of is the potential for this plant to really take off and over-take the tank. However if you've had it a while then you'd be able to determine the growth rate and then it would just be a judgement call on your behalf.
