Good god, I can't believe I'm doing this. My 125 broke and I'm just too scared to try again. He's in a 55g hex and it's just not right. I'd rather know he's happy somewhere bigger than keep him improperly in a little box. I can't keep the nitrates low enough without doing so many water changes it stresses him out constantly.

As an Oscar, even a wild one, I know he just can't command that kind of price at his size. He's about 12-13" and only two years old. Eats pellets, crickets, earthworms, algae wafers, peas and green beans.
Nitrates must be below 20ppm or he starts to show HITH. Water changes cannot be larger than 50% every three days or he starts to show HITH. That's why he needs 100g or bigger. Currently not exhibiting any signs of HITH due to underfeeding and frequent water changes, but needs to eat more.
