The Peach State
I went kayaking today and the whole lake was covered with plants that grew to the top, very, very tall almost kelp like plants, and another type, but too hard to describe. I reached out and grabbed a few, then dug up some from the shore roots and all, ANYWAYS

How long would you think to QT these plants, OR dont even QT and just throw out from risk of disease. Eight now I have them in a tiny tank(1.5g) with snails and other plants from a different lake( :D ) Looking to add them to my bigger tank and see how well they do, but if theres a big chance for disease, ill keep them in the smaller tank.

I think about 2 weeks in a QT with a carbon filter should clear up any nasties they may have picked up from the lake. I'd be more worried about chemical rather than biological contaminants.

Have you got any pictures? Getting an ID of the plants should help you decide whether or not they'll work in your current set-up.
