Hey MFK,I was wondering if any of you out there know of a safe and reliable method for getting rid of any pest that my try to hitch a ride on wild collected plants.

The traditional method is a dip in potassium permanganate. Some people also use a dilute bleach dip. This is effective, but hard on the plants.

What sort of hitchhikers are you worried about? The great majority of hitchhikers are harmless or even beneficial.

I'm only worried about worms or parasites that might harm my fish. Im not to worried about snails or harmless critters, just the ones that may cause serious issues.
