I normally feed Catfish fillets to my fish, but decided to try and switch things up for a week and try Salmon fillets. The fish seem to love it just as much, although you have to be more careful feeding it as it is a little more oily and can cloud the water.

The one thing I noticed about it is that it isn't as 'compact' as the catfish nuggets. Like the fillet falls apart if you pull it, into little strips and chunks. Aside from that its pretty cool.

Anyone feed any to their fish? Whats your preference? Experiences?

I don't know about the fillets, but Omega One is composed of whole salmon, very good for your fish.

Yeah, the fillets are very high in Omega 3, so figured they would be good for the fishies. LoL. Just don't like that they are so oily or fragment off so easily. Aside from that, they are SUPERB!! I think I'm going to rotate feeding them Catfish and Salmon fillets. See if it improves any growth/coloration. Both are relatively cheap down here anyway...

They are high in Omega 3 fatty acids, and contain astaxanthins, which is great for color. You could get this same effect by feeding omega one and not have to deal with oily fish or chunky fillets.

Eh, its cheaper to buy the fillets than the Omega one. One package of four Salmon fillets lasts me about a week and a half and is only about $4.00. Not all of my fish are on pellets either, but almost all of them will eat the Salmon.

Hopefully I'll start seeing some better colors and growth!! :D Thanks for all the input guys!! :D

All mine eat a variety of fish types but do seem to be partial to the salmon. Haven't really noticed a major color improvement but the feeding frenzy definitely increases.

I tried it twice Ill never do it again it was soooooooo oily my sump took almost two days to skim the oil off the top of the water and the dissolved oxygen content in my water dropped greatly due I suppose to the trouble the bubbles were having breaking th surface...they just kinds built up and made foam.

Sorry for the derail, however where can you buy Omega One pellets in bulk on line...all retailers in my area just carry the very small jars and tiny pellets..????
