Hello i have an unknown wild umbee, that im hoping for it to be a male, and i just got home and seen that the red devil layed eggs, and the umbee has still not shown a black dorsal, what are the chances of 2 females in a tank together and having one lay an egg? im hoping that my umbee is a male! what do you guys think?

that would make that umbee a male even more.. The female got turned on by the presence of the male and layed eggs.. There are females that hold in their eggs and wont lay.
I think they fighting because they arent compatible. The male isnt into breeding and just wanna eat the eggs so they fight..

but it is possible ask Volcomstone he experienced the same thing twice. GL though and I hope it turns out male but its not sounding good.cornizzy;3771062; said:
