In terms of ease of care, ie water changes, diet, disease, etc....
would you say Wild and Domestic Discus are pretty similar, or is one easier to take care of the other?
I'm thinking fish in the 4"+ range.
Domestic are a lot easier... Wilds need water parameters like the amazon. Domestic have been raised to live in basically all types (at least in ph) of water now.
Without question, domestic strains are much more adaptable to water conditions and disease resistance than wilds. Beginners mistakes can often be overcome with domestic strains that would surely kill wild discus.
