I have some wild festae(from Cichlids of the americas) and some F1 festae
(from tangled up in cichlids)....they are hard to take photos of...they never keep still..LOL...here it goes (you can zoom in by clicking on the pic)

When I first got the F0's they looked the same as they do now at 2inches.

If you could see them live you can really see the difference in color between the two types....I will keep them seperated and update untill
they are large enough to enter the large tanks.....

In case your interested the other fish in the tank are
Bifaciatus(from cichlaholic,Spencer Jack,Canada) and the
creamcicle Midas(from Don Conkel).....and Synspilum(from Cichlids of the americas).......

i got some F1s a few days ago. and there was absolutely no color on them at first, but they have some red on them now. they look exactly like your F1s. they're also at about 1.5 inches.

Very nice group of festaes:) the wild festaes from Dan are from Peru and Rapps usually carries festae from Ecuador. I have a group from dan and my f1's are from my old Ecuador pair. The only difference I see between them is a red tone on the females from dan, the f1's have more of a yellow base right now and the larger 4 f1's I vented males the smaller two f1's were only 1.5 at the time if venting and were too small. They're all big enough now for me to vent but I'm not gonna pull the tank apart just to catch them. Basically other than sexes males vs females I don't see a difference in color at all. I've had a few wild from Peru that I raised a while back and they had more green in their face and body than the ecuadors I've had. Mostly all theory for me in trying to tell the difference between the two so other than what I've had to go off of I'm not 100% sure how to tell them apart via collection point. Either way both are very beautiful:)
