Will 2 females fight over a male?

I am posting this in the cichlids forum rather than the hybrids because this is a general cichlid question.

2 of my female blood parrots have been circling and tugging lips for an hour. My male parrot seems to be pecking both of them in an effort to get them to stop maybe? Their squabbling is pissing off my oscar as you can see in the video. So will 2 females cichlids fight over a male cichlid?

Females (like males) fight for dominance. The most Dominate one breeds.

Thats how I did it but for some reason it wasn't working. Got it to work in other threads but not this time.

yupp they will. how big is your tank and oscar?? looks like a lil to much bp for the tank ( looks like a 4 foot either 55 or 75 )

Its a 75 gallon. Getting them a 180 or 125 by the end of the year.
