I'm Where I'm At
My buddy has a 6-7" Senegal that eats almost anything. He wants to buy an albino senegal and was wondering if they will get aggressive or territorial??

I thought that they'd be fine but I don't know much about these guys. Any input would help! Thanks!!

they should be fine senegals aren't useually aggressive at all

I had to add my brothers sen to my tank, cause it was nipping on his fishes fins. His was less than 4" and mine was 10" at the time, my sen was more annoyed by the small sen than anything else.

USUALLY NOT A PROBLEM. but it depends on the individual fish..

I have one of those "rare" senegals that seems to cause problems with the rest of my polys. I don't know if its just that it is a couple inches bigger or if its just an s.o.b.

I keep a bunch of different Polypterus species together, I haven't had a problem so far.

My experience has been the same as many other MFKer's.

I have a lot of species being kept together and have had few to no problems.

Here is what has happened:

When I got my first weeksii around 6", my 7" ornate pwned it, but after I stopped allowing the ornate to hide in the cave in the DW (I plugged up the hole with fake plants) the ornate left the weeksii alone.

Second problem with the ornate, is that when I got a male, she started fighting with him (I've got a video on youtube called 'ornate polypterus aggression').

As far as my sens, I just introduced a palmas palmas to the mix monday, and my plat sen swam up to it and snapped it's jaws which I'm guessing is sort of a dominance thing, but left it alone.

HTH :)
