ANyone have any opinions on this?

LFS has a 5" - 6" silver aro I'd like to pickup. Just want to make sure it wont eat my baby p.bass. They are about 2" - 3"

It probably would eat them. I tried this once and it didnt work out to well one of the two got eaten before i took them out

:iagree:

my silver pretty much tried to eat nething smaller than it other than my 6 inch rainbow shark....although if I still had the aro i am sure the shark would be gone by now too

to tell you the truth it all depends on the aro cuz i hav a 14" black and i put in two 3" peacocks and he didnt touch i would make sure they have plenty of hiding places just in case though

yea i agree with cichlid depends on fish itself

a 6" silver with 2, 3" blacks may not be the best idea

i dont think hes putting together if he is then :screwy:

it depends.. if there is any predatory fish I would trust withs smaller fish it would be aros..

I had a black that was about 8 inches when i added a 2.5 inch peacock. They were fine tankmates for years. If your worried maybe use a divider for a few weeks, can easily grow a 2 inch PB into a fat 4 inch pb in a few weeks.
