I am looking to add an endi to my 200 (8'X2'X20") which currently houses the following:

1 - 18" Silver aro
1 - 13" TSN
1 - 12" Sailfin Marbled Cat
3 - Widebar dats 8.5", 8", and 6.5"
1 - 8" Indo dat
3 - 6" Red hook siliver dollars

I have a source that is looking to bring in some large endis (16"+) and I am wondering if one of these beasts would be okay with the fish in my tank. What ya all think?

For a short while probably but endis tend to reach 24-30 inches fully grown -Anne

Would the endi be a threat to my dats at that size? And how long before it reaches the 24-30 inch mark?

With this setup if the Endli is a slow eater then this may present a problem. The dats will probably go after the food very aggressively and leaving nothing left for the Endli. And, yes I have heard of Endli trying to eat a silver dollar. If a 200 can support an arro I don't see why it cannot support an Endli.

no not an 8'' one but if you have a wider tank handy then sure go for it it should work we'll i'd be a little worried about that TSN thow they grow pretty fast but if you got a big bichir it should be fine

length is alright but width is a lil too small, better go for a 30" width :)

I will be going bigger within the next 2 years. My biggest concern was with the endli causing problems for the smaller dats.

I'm not too concerned about ensuring he gets enough food because I already have to do the same with my TSN.

Thanks everyone for your input
