i was thinking of getting one. i hear alot of people like them and im wondering how aggressive they are and if my armatus will pick on him or not. any comments on compatibility or bichirs are greatly appreciated. thanks

Should be fine. I have about 7 with my armatus. Just make sure they're not small enough for the armatus to eat.
wow seven bichirs? u must relly like them. what species should i get? what is ur favorite species?
I like all the upper jaw species. Endis are nice beacuse of the pattern. Congicus, because they get so big. Laps get a nice green color. Kolibas are nice too. Delhezis (Upper-jaw) are nice and they stay small.
my lfs has an ornate (black and yellow) for 100 bucks, hes about 7'' is that a good price? ur armatus dosnt get mad they invade his space on the bottom? endis is the greyish ones right?
You'll be fine. None of my bichirs ever go after my armatus. They hardly ever nip anything that's not intended to be food. I wouldn't worry about it. Ornates around here usually go for about 40 bucks for a 7"er. 100 is WAY too expensive. Endi's are the ones with the thicker vertical stripes.
Personally like the endis. They look more powerful then the others. Laps are pretty cool too, like a skinny endi. Like everyone else said, make sure it doesnt fit in your armatus's mouth. Let me know how it goes when you do it, was thinking about doing the same
wow 40 bucks! i knew these guys were too expensive. how much should an endi go for? endi is the grey one right? will he be ok with my rays?
