Building a south american biotope terrarium 10 feet by 3 feet by 3 feet and I want a chameleon and I was thinking of adding a snake but I don't want my chameleon to get eaten if I had frogs I would prefer that they don't get eaten but if they are cheap I probably wouldn't mind as long as they can breed fast enough. Would they also be able to eat turtles. Also can all constricters swim.

it depends on the snake but most likely they will eat everything you have listed, do not do a mixed species tank with carnivores that can eat the other animals! yes, all snakes can swim

First off, there are not true Chameleon species native to South America, so if you wanted to do a biotope than chameleons would be out. Second, mixing reptiles is not as easy as mixing fish and it isn't recommended in most circumstances. That being said, if done properly you could end up with a very nice display.

I have a mixed species enclosure. I would never do one with delicate species like a chameleon or large predators like a boa. Not a good idea in any way. It will not work
