My datnoid is 4-5 inches and my silver arowana is 9 inches. Can i put like 2-3 discus in there? Will this mix work?

And will discus eat hikari foodsticks?

I dont think it would work because discus might not get to eat due to the dat and the aro are fast eater and discus like slow moving water. Also if you plan on putting them all together in the 55 gallon is a no no.

3 is absolutely the worst number when keeping discus. If two eventually pairs up, they will end up bullying the last one constantly. Your tank is ridiculously overstocked already. Get a large tank for the silver arowana and datnoid if you want your 55g for discus. Discus tend to take their time before eating their foods and will not appreciate being outcompeted for foods.

No chance, ive got a 5 inch 3 bar IT and he sometimes has a go at my 18 inch rtg so i wouldnt like to see him in with any of my discus,it would be carnage, get a big tank for the aro and dat and keep the discus in the 55.

Cheers steve

I've seen photos, maybe here, of people who keep discus and aro's together. But, my aro isn't fond of my dat, keeps him hiding all day. Also, major rule of aro's, if it will fit in his mouth, he's gonna eat it.

I was going to say that.
You already have two aro that can grow big, and will sure eat the discus.
