Hello my brothers and sisters, lastnight my RBP,S had a party and f up one of my tiger barbs. All that i found was his head.Do i need to do a water change? My ppm test says everything,s cool but my nitrite is up a bit or is it nitrate anyways do i need to worry?

i would do a water change and attempt to find the remains again. clean the substrate too, there's a chance small pieces of the tiger barb may be hidden in substrate. otherwise, nothing really to worry about.

Cool, i did another test strip and it,s down a bit so i,ll keep an eye on it till morning. I,ll do vac and water change then.. Cool Avatar!!!

It is number one worst cause of pollution.. water changes and vaccum the bottom.

The decomposing of bodies in the tank is the same as excretment from them.......It is actiually more dangerous, obviuosly, then excretment because it is a body form rotting away in the tank......Take out the body soon as possible..........Scientifically, the same nano bodies that feed on ecretment that make nitrite is the same nanos that would be feeding on the decaying bodies....Whichever comes first, nitrate or nitrite.......

Did W/C and vac'ed the tank then i notice Tiger Barb#2 is gone? Yep they played tug of war with his ass.Well there go,s my idea of making them tank buddys..Note to self tiger barb's and RBP are to not cell mates!!! Tank's for all the info..
