Will a faded middevil keep his colors?

I saw a 3" middevil with an orange body and a reddish face at a LFS, do you think he'll keep those colors or could his colors still change as he gets older.

Agreed.I've heard of them going from a grayish color to a orange,red,or similar combo but not the other way around.I say just watch it and see.if you decide to get it

once they fade they will usually retain that color scheme for the rest of their life. for example pics of a 4" faded midas with orange blotches on his side and you see the same fish again at 12" he will have the same blothes usualy
