Will a lid on sump and tank slow down evaporation

Will outing a lid on the main thank and a lid on the sump slowdown evalporation? And if there is anything else I can do to slow it down plz let me know

A lid is the very best thing you can do for evaporation next to a drip system. It will certainly help

Air exchange is key. If you have lids and no bubbler the water will deplete of oxygen. The air coming from the bubbler will be humid and carry water with it.

So. Evaporation can't be totally avoided, but having lids and not overkill bubbler is best bet.

Agree with JK47 beside evaporation it help the temperature control in the tank.

Lids help incredibly. I lost up to an inch a week of water level on an uncovered tank, and basically none with a lid. I just drill a few holes for air exchange
