Ok so to start this off I have a buddy who wants to get rid of his Mudpuppy it’s 6 inches long and I told him definitely I want it, lol but that I needed to either setup a new tank for it or place it in my hexagonal Planted Aquarium that has 4 diamond tetras a African Clawed frog and a yo-yo loach..... but I need to know if the Mudpuppy would kill and eat any of my fish in that tank first before I accept his offer.

A mudpuppy, do you mean an axolotl? Both axolotls and mudpuppies are very similar though. I have an axolotl right now and she will eat anything she can catch, shrimp, worms, the thermometer, plants, my finger, fish, etc.

Actual mudpuppy I live in Wisconsin, my friend caught it when it was only a few inches long.
I’m gonna be collecting sand and plants hopefully tomorrow if it doesn’t thunderstorm on me like today haha, and I do know the hazards of taking sand from lakes and rivers and I’m going to be boiling the sand.. the plants on the other hand will be set aside in a bucket with some epsom salt and some general cure.. note I’ve done this before with wild plants and have had success with keeping the plants alive and insect/parasite free

This is it, tank is a little murky because I just pulled the filters out and replaced them lol, the mark on it’s snout was there from when my friend netted her and it started thrashing and rolling in the net scratching it’s face. But other than that perfectly healthy.

Ok, good to see you're taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of the mudpuppy, but yeah, your mudpuppy will eat small fish, if the fish are too large to be eaten, then they'll likely pick on the mudpuppy by attacking its' gills
