will a Tarp work?

Ive been looking around the threads lately and seen a few plywood ponds with tarps as the liner, do those hold up well over time and fish thrashing?

I don't think they are water proof 100% though, maybe a good idea for underliner.

i wouldnt trust a tarp the seems get frayed over a couple years.

yea i was really Leary about it i seen 3 threads here where people where using them for indoor pond liners

I agree that it could be used as a under liner as posted above, but I wouldn't trust it to hold for very long on it's own.
