I really want to add a water fall to my sting ray pond; however, I got to thinking about a possible negative issue.

I would like some plants in the waterfall as the water trickles down just like a local aquarium store. They have a koi pond with a really nice wall full of plants.

my pond will need to be 80ish degrees and if the water proceeds through the plants it will cool significantly.

Does anyone have experience with this?
Will this type of waterfall have a negative effect on the water temperature for a 735 gallon pond?

Besides increased evaporation, no negative effects. You are talking about 735 gallons of water here. A simple waterfall is not going to decrease the temp significantly.

you should be ok.... if anything might have to turn heaters up a lil more but you should be fine.... its not like its gonna be a several foot drop...

is this inside i assume? if so should be no problem...if anything you will get O2 increased which is better! if this was outside then i would say your water would be slightly cooler
