Will Ameca splendens eat there fry? Also I heard they are easy to breed is this true?

I've had those in the past and I'll say they're very easy- they don't eat their fry if they're given plenty of food

same with I. furcidens (spelling might be wrong) has been a couple since I have had those goodeids. Sold them all off to shift my focus in plecos- I think I'm going back to goodeids one of those days.

I agree I had a bunch of them for years and the fry are few but surprisingly large.Didnt lose many,if any.

I've had a pair for about a year, and if they've bred I haven't noticed. I used to have a colony of platys too, so I may have mistaken A. splendens fry for platy fry, but it doesn't matter anyway because the centrarchs eat all the livebearer fry in live seconds.
