i think AC 110 (14watts) is too much electricity for me, my parents said it cost extra $10 a month, so i wonder if Aqua Clear 70 will work for 75g? It only consumes 6 watts.

What are you going to have in the tank?

i haven't bought tank/filter yet, As of now, i have red terror, green terror, and red texas. all 1 in.

I really doubt an AC110 costs ten bucks a month to run. Ask your parents how much the electricity costs them per kilowatt hour.

No possible way a ac110 costs 10 bucks a month to run. I have a ac70 and ac110 on my 75g and havent seen any real increase. What size heater do you run and what light setup do you have??

Also jus something to think about but with a 75g tank im assuming you have around 200-300 watt heater no?? Quite drastic in comparison to a 14 watt filter. Something isnt adding up.

I agree with everyone.
The ac110 shouldn't even make a dent in the electric bill.

The tank isn't big enough for all those fish anyway.

i don't use heater because electric...is too much, and i never turn on fluorescent light during the day, but at night for few hrs.
If i run AC110, how much will it cost every month?
it ranges from 11 cents to 15 cents per kilowatts. i dunno how to calculate this.

Edit: 14 watts means it only consumes 14 watts per an hour or?
