Will angelicus botias or yoyo loaches destroy / uproot / damage plants in any way? ive been thinking about getting some, but... it depends on how they will treat my plants.

My Angelicus do punch holes in my amazon swords if I don't feed them enough cucumber. My CL's do it too, so my guess is you should expect it with most botiine loaches. Just keep feeding them veggies & they won't eat your plants. Their digging has always been my issue, though. They love to dig around in my sand, which occasionally uproots a plant or two. They are always hungry, so the best method for me is just to throw a slice of cucumber in every morning & leave it all day. They love to punch holes in it with their little nozzle-mouth until all thats left is the skin. Their social & feeding behavior is much different than the CL's, so let me know if you need more info before purchasing them (at 12 or 13 bux apiece!)

i know, the little buggers are expensive! i heard elsewhere that they wont damage plants..... im still looking at options for what i wanna get. thanks for your help!

Like I said, if you feed them properly (lots of veggies), they won't mess the plants up. They are definitely worth checking out!

I keep yo-yos, and they do not harm plants (as far as I can tell)

I agree with JakeH. As long as you are feeding plenty of veggies they don't mess too much with the plant life. I have one Angelicus and a half dozen CL's in a live planted tank with several others and haven't had too many issues with them grazing as long as I keep them supplied with plenty of salad foods:D
