pretty much what the tittle is.

i have a few fish that got fin rot and had to make a quick hospital tank. so i put them in the one i use to help my plants grow when i first buy them or when i break of smaller plants. will the meds hurt the plants should i remove the plants? and if i do take them out any way i should clean them before putting them in another tank?

My experience with antibiotics and plants was that it didn't "hurt" the plant neccessarily, but growth of the plants slowed down and allowed BBA to start and I battled that for months until I finally tore down the tank and started over!! So keep that in mind. If I had it to do over I would have majorly shortened my photoperiod during the treatment time.

Are you sure you have to use antibiotics. I have treated what I THOUGHT was fin rot with just nice clean water and lots of water changes.

Black brush algae or black beard algae.

well the tank they are in is only one gallon so i dont think i will have the BBA problem. i will just rinse with warm salt water before i put them in any other tanks

thx for the advice :)
