If i was to paint the backs of my tanks, is there a particular kind of paint that should be used:screwy:

You can use pretty much any kind you want. I recommend using an oil based flat spray paint. This will adhere well, and is quite resistant to the water. Spray very very sparse (small spots of paint with .5-2 cm between spots) layers, several times. My 135 took 16-18 coats. (I forget the actual number, it's been a few years.

Thanx for the info, now i must decide between black or blue

I'm going with Limo black window tint...much faster to apply...water proof..thinner. Not to mention MUCH easier to remove in case you need to reverse the tank due to scratches at a later date.

Good idea,

Use spray paint.

The tint is a good idea though...I did that with my 600.

I used krylon fusion, its for plastic, but I had a few cans laying around and it did the job. The trick is to clean the glass really well (acetone) and to apply lots and lots of thin coats with the recommended drying time between coats

or do that!!! :D

the limo tint idea is genius

I too am liking the tint idea,
if you do paint it,after the paint drys, you can cover it with masking tape to protect the paint from scratching.
