Will arowanas eat blood worms

I have a 6 inch silver arowana and I was wondering if he would eat bloodworms or anything else.

He will eat Bloodworms, Brine Shrimp, Small shrimp, feeders, MAY eat pellets, insects (Flies, lizards), frogs when large (Over 12") These fish are not picky.

they will eat it, but I think that he will soon need something more substantial, unless you give A LOT

My aro which I keep with rays eats nightcrawlers when I feed the rays.

When I got my Jardini, he was 5" and I fed him live crickets. He loved them. Now he is about 10" and absolutely loves Nightcrawlers. He wont even look at the rosies I put in to feed the gars.

Yeah mine won't even eat freeze dried shrimp anymore.

mine eats hikari cichlid pellets, krill, and crickets. I've not tried to get him to eat bloodworms, but to get him to eat the kirll I just stopped feeding crickets for a day or two. He'll also eat nightcrawlers if he's hungry.

Obviously you have never owned one. Most aros can become very picky this is why it is good to work on getting them used to eating alot of different foods. My 22" silver was raised frrom a 3" on freeze dried blood worms and also would accept frozen. The advantage with freeze dried is they float so they are available for the aro. The frozen cubes will float for awhile but the aro may have a had time with them. Give it a try, is your aro with other fish? If not don't let the uneaten bworms stay in the tank.

Can become picky, yes. I own a silver right now, and like I said above, he's not particularly picky. I'm sure he would eat my finger if it wasn't attached.
