now when you say Norcal,Do you mean Norcal or Central Cali......two different things.
Alot of people from Central Cali frontin as Norcal.
How about a friendly discussion: lets divide the 770 miles north to south miles of california into just three zones, southern, central and northern
And for the sake of this arguement we will use chula vista (32.62845 N, 117.04473 W) as the southern most city and tulelake (41.95415 N, 121.47480 W) as the northen most city than the state of california.
Being conservative we will call the nothren most point 42 degrees and the southern 32.5 degrees so each of the three zones will be 3.17 degrees.
Northern California from 42 degrees north to 38.83 degrees north
Central California from 38.82 degrees north to 35.65 degrees north
Southern California from 35.64 degrees north to 32.5 degrees north
so lets check
Los Angeles (34.11210 N, 118.41120 W) so LA is Southern California... duh
Fresno (36.78060 N, 119.79287 W) so fresno is Central California
Fremont (37.52850 N, 121.99712 W) oh so close, but indeed central Ca
San Francisco (37.65863 N, 122.30839 W) Central
Sacramento (38.56685 N, 121.46736 W) Central
Redding (40.57240 N, 122.36491 W) Northern
Be that as it may, most of central CA is barren: same can be said for Northern Ca. In laymens terms The bay area is Norcal and nothing further north even matters.... no offense Senor, just the way it is
