Will Buttikoferi eat plants

Long story short, my friend gave me his 4 in killer butti, it is already beating up af grown midas. ok in another tank I have lots of anubia floating in with my Jewel Cichlids which I now know is shredding and eating my plants. my planted tank I am doing is far from done. I just need to float some plants in the tank and want to know if the butti will eat them.

meaness and for the heck of it aside, are they known plant eaters int he wild this is some beautiful plants

in the wild they follow hippos in rivers and literally eat their dung, which is plant matter because that's what hippos eat. so IMO your prized plants would be at high risk.

I doubt it will work, anything in my buttis tank is my buttis toy, so else you can tame the fish somehow very unlikely he will not destroy your plants.

Interesting,they are the scats of the cichlid world.
