Use crushed coral to raise your pH. I've done it dozens of times in the past with 100% success.

no problems? with the pbass? just one thing cant use the crushed coral need the sand lol

Put the crushed coral in a "sock" then put it in the filter, it will raise your ph and it's fine with pbass. Just watch your ph after a while it will go to like 8.0, if you do not remove it.
