ok had an overstocked 60 gallon. there were 2 male jd's, two female convicts, 2 pictus cats, and 2 common plecos in this tank. was taking the plecos and cats out today to put in a friends pond. had alot of the decor out to catch these boogers. when putting a fake stump back in i squished some eggs.... didnt know they were in there. they have to be the convicts. they are still clear. and i had them out for about 5 minutes untill i noticed what i did. when i put the stump back in the female convict went right back over to them defending them. since they are still clear im guessing they have been fertilized? and must have been the smaller jd? i hope i didnt kill them... not that i want mixed breeds i know they will be impossible to get rid of... but i hate the thought that i harmed them.

Just give it some time for now and hope they hatch. I have read that convicts and JD's have cross bred, think I saw some photos on here somewhere...

If they do hatch, do take some photos as it would be interesting to see.

My lfs sold JD/Con hybrids once....
