i want to plant my 20 long and am wondering if turning it into a convict breeding project would be appropriate. what do yall think?

gotchya. i think ill look into something else. if i go freshwater i like the idea of an african brown knifefish. though im presently contemplating just being patient and saving a bit of extra cash and setting up a saltwater aquarium. i think ill go slow with it and start with a fish only tank, no reef for now. maybe even just one fish like a clown.

of course if i decide FW is best for right now that leads me to another questin for you cichlid lovers: what about a breeding tank for german rams? would they love to make a mess of plants?

yes! all my convicts dont like plants mini shovels.I think if you anchor them down well you will be fine.

i think rams are better w/ plants than cons but that is a huge difference in fish. rams are REALLY picky about parameters in order to breed.
but if you decide for rams then good luck they are beautiful fish!
