gravel and glas cause i have nothing in there and the ffemale is moving the rocks as teh male is watching the JDs.. so can they lay the eggs on the glass??
 
yes they can, I'v had cons and firemouths just dig a pit to the bottom and lay eggs there.
 
how rare is it for them to pair up with teh same sex??? i had 5 total and teh 2 biggest pair up, so do u think thats male and female??? o and one of here tube is pointy to... and the other is well not pointy but kinda but looks different then the one with teh pointy tube.. and there red on the throat is different ones lighter and teh other is darker.
 
i thought that i had bought two males when i got mine. they soon paired up and bred.

very i don't think there are homosexual cichlids transexual yes but two males can't breed
