ill be leaving town for 8 days. will my fish make it? have an arowana albino cat oscar and pacu. i dont really want my dad feeding them. or can he just drop some food in every 3 days or so?

Portion out food into separate containers and mark them for what days they are to be fed.

A good friend of mine (who I didn't realize was a complete moron) killed my tank with three 8" warmouths. I gave him specific instructions... He could not fallow them. Do what timpon says and portion out the food! Oh yeah I was only gone three days WTF... I should have said don't feed them at all!
I hate leaving my tanks. "She who must be obeyed", watches me everyday with them yet I left her for 2 weeks and I'm still trying to get my pike healthy again. I think yout fish will be fine for 3 day with no food. just feed them b4 you leave. I think they will be okay.
The longest my fish went without food was about 10 days, but the majority of them are lungfish. I had one get out of the tank too, he looked like he was out for days...I put him back in the tank ASAP and by morning the next day he was eating beefheart like nothing happened! 
hmm....i'd just buy like 30-40 feeders and drop em in b4 u leave....they'll last a couple of days....

I really don't go for feeders. The next time I go for 2 weeks, I'll pay someone to come by the house and feed them beefheart and pellets.
