will fumigating the house kill my fish?

my dad is planning on fumigating the house. will i have to move my fish or will it be safe to just leave it there?

Most all fumigation chemicals will quickly kill the tank right down to the BB.

Get the tank out before tenting the house.

Depends on the fish and temperature outside... if they can survive outside they shouldn't be affected by the fumigation as long as they're outside the "tent" and if you're really worried you could put an extension cord and pull it even farther away... just becareful to secure your lid down cuz racoons are very good at opening ****...

I sealed my tanks with saran wrap and towels. Everything lived just fine.

If you plan to leave it in the house at least turn off the air pump. No sense in pumping the poison into the water. I have left tanks in the house in the past and just turned the filters and everything off and covered them with a towel. Those were just bug bombs though, not a tent fumigation. I would remove the tank with the rest of your pets.
