Was at my LFS yesterday and they had a regular midas and a barred midas in individual tanks both males showing large nuchal humps I'm assuming they were full grown at around 10", anyway they were very aggressive attacking the glass everytime I walked by I find this behavior facinating and for some reason desireable in a fish.. I currently have a juvi dovii in 150 gal. (male about 6" from Rapps) who is still pretty shy, and am wondering if I can expect to see this same aggressive glassbanging behavior from him as he matures. Anyone with experience with this species or who knows what I'm talking about please reply and let me know what I can expect from this fish later on. Thanks

put some smaller fish in there to bring out the territorialnes(spelling)
out early.

Yeah add some fish that he can assert his dominance upon. I have also read that if you shake your head at your fish and he flares back and then you back away you can get the fish to feel more dominant anfd he will become more aggressive to humans if this becomes a common practice on your part. It kinda creates a "watch dovii" after a while, lol.

Yea i've been trying the shaking the head thing with my midas.....it seems to be working, every time he sees something move in the room he attacks the glass....

youll have to wait

using tennis balls or anything simular to color of the fish will work also
