My male ray has finally reached maturity and is all over one of my females all the time. The female is starting to get a little beat up. I'm just wondering will the male let up while she's pregnant or keep after her during the pregnancy?
And why doesn't he spread the love?

usually they will let up i have had a problem with recently with my male beating on my female even after she was preg so i had to seperate it just depends

My male seems to only favor the one female of mine and I always end up having to remove him or her. Last time I moved the female out, the male started chasing the other female but after he started kicking the crap out of her to much I ended up moving him out on his own again and still only the one female of mine has become preggo. (she is due any day now tooo:grinno:)

My 14" regular motoro. Here's a pic of the father and the mother, it's a couple months old though.

nice looking motoros gumby...

My male chews on the female's tail. She has lost about 1 1/2" of her tail to him chewing. He usually starts towards the end of her pregnancy and for awhile after they mate. He will eventually leave here alone.
