Im gonna have 4 peacock bass growing out in a 180 with two FX5s for filtration. Should I just add a couple air discs under the output hoses and have it push the O2 around. Or should I buy a power head... Newb I know :)

you don't necessarily need either, but whichever. set one output to strongly ripple the surface and the other down towards the substrate and you should have all the O2 you need.

I use aerators on my tanks and would recommend them to keep your water oxygenated. This is very important when working with the warmer water peacock bass seem to enjoy.

I would add a powerhead if you feel there is a deadspot where water is not circulating. You can use a powerhead to push that water towards one of your fx5 intakes.

Good idea Ill see how it all lines up when up and running!

Ill be doing something similar on my 220 for my bass. I'm getting an FX5 in a few weeks. So I'll have it, my CFS700 and a power head. I think this will be enough but if not I still have 3 Emperor 400s I could run and a Reaction Stg 4 canister

I have 2 FX5s in my 120g and I point one output up from one FX5 to ripple the water and the other output is down lower.
