under a bridge in fl
in my 240
2' silver aro
6" p bass
6" jag
armored cat
2 mini fish

i have another jag i been growing out.
i think one is female, other is male.
if i add the 2 together in the 240,will there be chaos?
like will those 2 take over and pick on my aro?
will they start to breed and beat everyone up?
lol
:irked:
thanks in advance for any info. :)

if those two do pair up then yes I believe you will be in trouble... most breeding pairs of cichlids tend to be demons...

I wouldn't keep a jag with my arow breeding or not. I'd be worried about it messing up his fins if he gets in a bad mood.

But yeah, if they start breeding I would definately say chaos.

Oh. It might just work then. I guess it all depends on if you want to take the risk of losing some fish or not.

might be okay. the jag still may go through a temperment change since its only 6", so watch it. i'm going to try adding a jag or two and a couple other aggressive cichlids to my tank.

dont forget if pairing occurs then temperaments will definitely change, so if the one is ok for now then two will most likely not be ok..

somehow missed that you want a M and F jag. def more risky than having a single F in there esp if they decide to pair up.

I've seen a female jag lay eggs w/o male presence and go crazy, so I'm guessing if they do pair up it, it will be even worse with two of them. It could work though, but breeding behavior makes most fish unpredictable, even the most docile ones. If they do breed, it now would also depends on what amount of space they claim as thier redefined terrority to raise the fry, and whether or not it gets violated. Like del said, depends on if your comfortable of taking that risk of possibly losing fish.
