Will it be fine for a 22"+ lince cat to live in a 48" x 30" x 18" ( L x W x H) ~ 116G tank for a few years?

Please don't flame, I just want to ask, because someone locally is selling a 22"+ lince cat for $300......

....... ........

I so wanna get it! >.<'''' lol

One of a life time deal! :WHOA:

If the following dimension does not work, what would be the recommend dimension / tank size for it?

I would say 12 months, but it always depends on how much you intend to feed him. From what I hear they are pretty active swimmers so I think pharmaecopia is right.

Even for not active cats this is too small, imo. Lince cats are very active, constant swimmers. I feel your agony and desire to have it but I would not.

The standard rule of thumb is your tank should be 4xL by 2xL by 2xL, where L is the TL of your fish. For an active fish like that, the rule of thumb is 6xL by 3xL by 2xL, which brings you to 12'x6'x4'.
