Here is a picture of my 9" male Jag. He seems to have a yellow tint along with with the black spots. Most of the pictures I have seen of mature Jag's they have a white background. With the yellow change to white when he matures? I like the look of the white.

I've seen my Jag in many different color variations. He's often the off white/cream color that you desire. Sometimes he turns more gold colored like yours but not quite as yellowy/gold. Right now he's really showing off his purple sheen and lots of blue on his dorsal fin to attract the female to mate. Unfortunately, she wants nothing to do with him. I don't know if yours will change or not. Try switching your substrate to a white sand and I can almost guarantee he'll lighten up some.

I feel ya, man. And big deal if your Jag looks different from everyone else's. He still cool and not just one of the crowd if you know what I mean.

Probably not...they actually range from bright white to a dark copper color. I think it's a locality thing. The one I have right now is more copper like yours...they're all great fish! :-)

WOW that jag is a PIMP!

Get him a girlfriend!
