I am going to set up a new 180 gallon tank soon and was thinking about putting some java fern on the driftwood and rocks that i am getting. The future residents of the tank are going to be 2 oscars, 2 jaguar cichlids, a red snook, 1 sailfin pleco, and 1 fire eel. will the java fern survive or will it be destroyed?

I think it should do fine. Java Fern is a hardy plant, and none of the fish mentioned are notorius vegitation eaters.

I think your fish will pull everything out of the ground you plant, would even probably push around all your rocks and wood too.

My Jag doesn't even leave the gravel alone, 75% of the glass on bottom is showing because she pushes everything to the sides...
