I was wondering if melafix will have any negative effects on stingrays. I have a couple of datnoids who have developed cloudy eyes and I wanted to treat them.

I have a 100 gallon tank which have the following stock:
2 x 11" ST (1 with cloudy eye)
1 x 6" IT (cloudy eye)
1 x 7" NGT
2 x 6" NTT
1 5" Leo
1 x 12" Clown Knife

No it's safe for full dose.

Thanks!!! I really appreciate your response especially since you are an established breeder.

Thanks again!!!

i prefer to use in conjunction mela and pima... but i recomend maracyn for the cloudy eye on the dats...

I have had success with MelaFix & PimaFix with rays.
But it be cheaper (and always safer) to treat the infected fish in their own QT tank.

Buy the "pond" melafix if you're treating a large tank. It'll save you some serious bucks. ;)

Is a 100 gallon tank considered large?

Thanks for the suggestion but how would maracyn affect the leo? I would much rather be safe than use something that might have a negative effect to the ray if you get my drift. Leo > ST and that applies to their cost...

Thanks for reiterating the efficiency of Melafix and Pimafix. Unfortnately, I can't treat the two datnoids in their own tank because my QT tank is a 10 gallon tank.

ive never had a problem with rays and maracyn or maracyn 2

Does regular fish stores carry them or do I have to get them online and shipped to me?
