will melafix fix this????

Just picked up this H.Malabaricus and i got him for 20$ hes 8" but he looks like hes been running into the side of the tank alot they had him in a 10g...i have him in a plastic 5gallon for quarantine..i started treatment how long do you think it will take for this to heal?

Just a bit of sodium chloride, good water and diet and it'll heal itself.

+1, I'd only use melafix if things keep getting worse. The salt should help keep it clean and fight any possible infection.
