Temporarily moving stock from a 280 (77"L x 36"W x 24"H) to a 220 (60"L x 24"W x 30"H). We will be moving the 280 to the garage and at the same time planning to repaint it and apply my leftover liquid rubber before it expires. Because of work and family I'm estimating it would take me about a month to finish it.
Stock list aside from the aro:
(6) 4" silver dollars
(1) 7" silver scat
(3) 10" oscars
(3) 5"-7" bala sharks
(2) 5" tinfoil barbs
(1) 14" clown knife
(2) 12" ornates
(2) 6" senegals
I worry about the aro, it might freak out and keep jumping and hitting the top of the tank because of the width difference although the tank is covered securely. Thanks.

I think it'll be ok for a month. GL

I would worry too. I think it would be better if you could keep just the aro with maybe the bichers and SDs. Could you keep the rest of the stock in another tank?

I would worry of the bioload more. The fish aren't that aggressive except for the fact that they might scare the aro from all the commotion.

do a few extra water changes, and check your ammonia regularly. I think you will be fine as long as the tank is covered well and you do the extra changes.

If your aro is 27" & your tank is 24" its going to have problems turning around - he wont be happy

No it won't, silver arowana can turn in a radius that is only one third their length. It wouldn't have trouble even turning in a 12" wide tank. The recommended tank width is much more about general swimming space, not room to turn.
