Does anyboby know what will happen if you put 6 times the amount of Algae Bloom clear in your tank by acident?? :screwy: It already killed three of my snails that I've had forever. And I was wondering if it will effect my Arowana and my Bichir Eels. The last Algea bloom clear I used called for a different amount and this time I assumed it would be the same.

What I suggest you do is simply steup the water changes until you feel the water is back to normal. No risk, and the fish should love it.

Most of these algae killing products are pretty toxic. Hopfully you have all ready done this, but if you have not, due a 50 to 75% water change right away. You need to dilute this stuff down ASAP or they probibly will die.

I know it wasn't your question but this is not the solution to clearing up algae issues. It may temporarily fix the algae problem but many time the algae will come back.

Post more information about your set up and maintenance practice and lets see if we can help. (what size tank, what kind of filter, how long set up, what type of lights, how many hours a day are the lights on, how often water changes are done, etc...)

I killed your Goby by accident. It jumped out of the tank and crawled across the room in the middle of the night and I found him in the corner of my room oppesite to my aquarium.

The tank's been set-up for about six months now. I have a 75 gallon with five senegalas bichir eels, one green australian goby, and a 14" Silver Arowana. I have about seven plants in the tank. Three Long Grass, and four Banana plants. Oh, I aslo have a 10" pleco that I hate!! Anyway, I've had to use the algea clear twice since the begining set-up of the tank. It works great but it comes back in about a month. What should I do ?? What am I doing wrong........look at my pictures of my tank.

oh dear. hope nothing bad happens to your aro.

in such a situation i would transfer my aro into my fiberglass tank which i use for ageing water. but that's provided you have a spare tank.

oh yeah use activated carbon. place it near your air stone or the outlet of your filter. that should remove any chemicals present. (this is the best way and you should probably do it asap).

good luck.
