I am out of town for the week until next Friday or Saturday and no one is going to be feeding or caring for my fish while I am gone. I left on Saturday the 4th just for your information. I also did a water change and fed the fish on Thursday the 2nd. I am worried about my fish, since they are my pride and joy. Overall I will just be gone for a week. Will they be ok for the time being until I am back?

it all depends on how many fish you have, you should get your self automatic feeder its sweet you dont have to worry about it,i did that one time left my a.cichlids for a week, when i came back on of my smaller one was gone, i am sure they ate him....good luck bro!

I am talking about my kyoga flameback juvies that are around 1-2 inches. I have about 21 of them. I don't really need to worry about my adults since I know that they can last long without food. It's just my juvenile fish I am worried about.

oh i see!! next time drop vacation fish food in your tank, you can get them any pet-shop,,,, hey bro if you lived by my house i would of take care of them for you,:)did you buy the kyoga's from David???i got some from him about 3 months age, one of my female is holding...:)

Next time I go on vacation, I'll just do that. Well no, these are my own kyoga flamebacks purchased from Florida. No relation to David's, so that's a big plus for the both of us. We can trade fry since we are both located in California. :D

brrrrrrrrrrrrro!!!!! why did you have to live 300 miles from meeeeeeeee!!!!lol:D i will love to do that, for the longest time i thought he had send me all females, now you should see my males bro,,,feed them the sea-weed you'll see what happense.

I've been thinking about feeding seaweed too, I'd just never had the chance to. How are the results on your fish? What do you feed your fish mostly? New Life Spectrum in my opinion is the best cichlid food which has given me the best results. I have two awesomely colored males(maybe more if I separated them) always flaring at each other and fighting in my tank of kyoga flameback juvies. We should have a fry exchange to diversify our gene pool of kyoga flamebacks which will benefit the both of us. :)

P.S. Try to get some pics of the kyoga flamebacks. :D

Let us know how it goes for you... i hope all is well..

i cannot promice you of course.. but in almost all instances.. it is better not to feed then to have someone else feed... and with out water changes they are also better off... in my opinion they should be fine..
