Im pissed. This morning I was late for work and noticed my 2" Indo had escaped from his breeder trap. I tried to catch him for a few minutes but couldnt. I came back for lunch and found him with these wounds. The fang marks indicate my red-tail payara was the culprit. Anyhow he is eating and swimming just fine so Im sure he will make it but I want him to heal because out of my 17 Indos this is the only one I kept cause he is literally 100% stable, has 4 symmetrical bars, and full necklace and belts!!

I use to keep piranhas and a wound like this would be unnoticeable in just a couple of weeks so im wondering how does the healing capabilities of dats compare?

Damn man thats rough!!! SORRRY, i know how u feel... I would just keep doing everything ur doing now, but increase water change and salinity a bit.. You obviously know what to do, if u have so many Dats!!! GOOD LCUK!, and thats one bad payara!

PS howd he escape? Feeding or cleaning?

I think my 12" ATF knocked over the floating trap. To be honest with a 12" ATF, 7" payara, and 12" Ornate bichir this little guy is lucky to be alive!

I hope your dat gets better. He should be fine with everything that you're doing.

:iagree:

Gotta prevent any infection from setting in. He actually looks a lot better than I would have guessed. Good luck, I hope he makes it.
