i heard they are sensitive to light and they are more active during the night.
i feed him my own guppies and they are live. i leave the light off during the day and on during the night time will this affect his eating??

The lights being on in the night will definitely be stressing the Endli... your day time still has some light in the room i presume... they are very active in the night, but a night for them not with the lights on :) keep lights for say 8-10hrs max... if u want to see them in the night then a moonlight LED is advised...

I suggest keep the feeding varied if you want to see some good growth... its good you feeding your own bred guppies... give some tilapia, smelt and some pellets if you can... rem they need other nutrition as well which just the guppies cannot provide.

Feeding with the lights on.

yeah im going to try blood worms or crickets for him today but moon light led? what is that and im using a regular 20 gallon lid with the flouresent light. what about a airstone that has blue leds? will that stress him any? thanks.

Moonlight is not a must... if u like ie a small low light LED single unit.... ur lights are fine keeping them is not the issue, having them on throughout the night would stress... lol so used to live already... try tilapia & smelt that should get his attention after few days of starving.... have a pic of ur endli nd how big now?

I usually feed my Bichirs in the dark or dim lights or just natural sunlight. They eat much more compared to lights on(I have bright lights).
