Hi,

Currently i have a 8x2x2.5 ft tank.
I'm planning to use a 4x1.5ft x 1.5 ft sump tank, also a 4 ft overhead filter box and an eheim Canister 2250. Will this be anough filtration for my tank?
the tank will house 7 asian arowanas and 9 red hooks.
water change will be weekly.

thanks.

I dont see why it wouldnt
thanks :) a little worried since my tank's bio load would be high :)
i currently have a 55 gallon drum filter with no media, but planning to remove that one, also a opverhead 15 gallon sump. but also worried about wight , so was wondering if a 75 gallon sump with eheim can handle the bio load:D

Should be fine considering you mentioning that water changes would be weekly!

I moved this to the filtration section. Sounds pretty well stocked, have to keep on top of water changes.

Batteries ran down it the crystal ball again...:screwy:

Don't exactly know how anyone can answer this without knowing what media your going to be using, the flow (turnover) rate and if it is just a sump or a Wet/Dry filter with a sump.

Size wise, with the other filters you should be ok with a 6x turnover if the unit is a W/D with a pre-filter and packed with bio-material (scrubbies). Add aeration under the bio-media for added oxygenation of the bio-media making it more efficient.
